The Lagonda Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) was chartered by the national organization on April 21, 1895. All DAR chapters worldwide promote education, historic preservation, and patriotism through programs and committee work. Lagonda Chapter members have served the Society at the national and state levels as officers and chairpersons.
Membership is open to women 18 years of age and older whose ancestor(s) actively supported the cause of American Independence through either documented military service or civilian service. Applicants shall provide documentation showing direct lineal blood line for each generation. This shall include birth certificates, marriage licenses and death certificates that link each generation to the patriot ancestor. Acceptable ancestral service is between April 19, 1775 and November 26, 1783.
